Porsche 911 RSR Oil Painting
Just finished this oil painting a few weeks ago on a 12” x 16” canvas. I tried a new method this time by laying paints in several iterations. To do this, I had to thin the lower layers out using Gamsol. For each successive layer, less Gamsol was used, until I was working with just pure oil paint on the final layer. This method allowed me to start out with rough shapes initially, with continued refinement along the way. If you look through the gallery below, you’ll notice that I made some significant adjustments to the shape of the car by the end of the process.
